‘I’ve got nothing but love and respect for you!’: Tommy Fury and Jake Paul’s post-fight conversation REVEALED… as victorious Brit labels American opponent as a ‘tough man’ who has ‘come a long way’ after Saudi Arabian bout
- Tommy Fury emerged victorious in the highly-anticipated bout with Jake Paul
- The duo had traded verbal blows for over two years in the build-up to the fight
- After, the two fighters embraced and shared a brief conversation in the ring
Tommy Fury and Jake Paul were finally seen having a respectful conversation together after settling their differences inside the boxing ring on Sunday night.
The two personalities shared the stage in a packed out Diriyah Arena, Saudi Arabia where the British boxer emerged victorious following a split decision by the judges.
After the fight, and two years of trading verbal blows, both fighters were willing to put their differences aside to show respect for their counterpart on the night.
BT Sport’s cameras caught the two speaking after the fight and Fury could be heard saying: ‘You’re a tough man. You’ve come a long way.
‘You started a few years ago, I started when I was six. I’ve got nothing but love and respect for you brother.’

Paul looked dejected after being handed the first loss of his professional career by the Brit
Paul looked dejected as Fury spoke to him, given the devastating loss, but still mustered a message: ‘Thank you bro’.
Fury finished by saying: ‘It was a great build-up, a great fight. Thank you very much.’ He then proceeded to shake the hands of Paul’s father and team.
It was a rare showing of sportsmanship between the two fighters who are not famed for their professionalism within the sport.
In the build-up to the fight, Paul exclusively told Sportsmail that he believes Fury‘s career is being ruined by his father and trainer, John Fury.
The American boxer also claimed, in the build-up, that Fury was being forced into the bout by his partner Molly-Mae Hague.
However, Paul did once show an aspect of sportsmanship in the build-up to the fight after he bought Fury’s newborn daughter a gift. Many saw this act as a mind game.
Fury had twice withdrawn from bouts against Paul, first in December 2021 due to illness, and then in August last year after he was unable to gain entry into the United States.
The withdrawals increased the tension between the pair, which has extended to other members of Fury’s family. In the middle of the fight on Sunday, Paul’s older brother Logan shouted ‘the whole Fury family a b****’.

After all the unpleasantries sent his way by Paul, Fury showed his delight in winning the bout as he burst into tears within the ring.
The Brit was awarded a split decision victory on the night after two judges scored heavily in his favour and finally put the feud to rest.
Paul later blamed ‘illness’ and an ‘arm injury’ for the defeat – which was met by a chorus of boos – before the two spoke with eachother inside the ring.
There were a number of well-known celebrities in attendance with Cristiano Ronaldo and Mike Tyson seen sharing a picture in the audience.
