Hafthor Bjornsson has shared his incredible weight loss transformation as the showdown with Eddie Hall edges nearer.

The former World’s Strongest Man, famous for playing Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane in hit-series Game of Thrones, is taking on his British rival in the “Heaviest Boxing Match in History” this September.

And this saw the 32-year-old step into the ring for the first time last month, taking on professional fighter Stephen Ward.

But the challenge has also brought an incredible body change in Bjornsson, which he displayed over the weekend.

The 2.06m-tall giant shared a clip of himself skipping on the spot, with his core looking rock solid and pecs tense.

He makes the cardio workout look easy before walking away from the camera.

It is a huge contrast to Bjornsson’s figure this time last year, based on the images shared to his 3.3m Instagram followers.

The 32-year-old was seen chowing down on six meals for just one sitting, showing off a big belly to go with his figure.

But having extra weight has been a benefit to the bodybuilder through his career, having won 10 consecutive Iceland’s Strongest Man honours with his 2018 World’s Strongest Man title which he took off rival Hall.

Throughout 2020, though, Bjornsson took on a training regime and diet to put him in fighting shape.

And it saw him lose 16kg by September last year, going down from “six eggs with rice and spinach” for breakfast to “five eggs and just spinach”.

“The Mountain” is not the only one who has been shedding weight, though, as Hall has also gone from 197kg to 161 kg over the months.

While the training has been intense, the war of words between the pair has also seen nothing get held back as the Brit slammed Bjornsson’s fight as a “load of s***”.
