Former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch close to agreeing comeback fight against American legend Roy Jones Jr

Former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch is set to make a sensational return to the ring to take on legend Roy Jones Jr.
Froch, 43, has been in talks with the 52-year-old American, who held world titles in four different weight divisions, over an exhibition bout.
And Nottinghamshire Live reports negotiations could be completed this week.

And the bout could take place in Froch’s home city of Nottingham.
Froch has not been in the ring since he famously knocked out George Groves at Wembley Stadium in 2014.
Jones’ last outing occurred in November 2020 when he took part in an exhibition contest with Mike Tyson in Los Angeles.
The result was scored as a split draw in a pay-per-view event that attracted the sixth largest pay-per-view audience in boxing history,
The 43-year-old now works as a pundit but won 33 of his 35 fights between 2002 and 2014
Jones believes he still has plenty to offer.
‘Carl Froch says I’m shot to bits,’ he told IFL TV. ‘Well, okay. But show me, show me that I’m shot to bits.
‘Show me. I don’t care, show me that I’m shot to bits. Wembley Stadium, live – 80, 100,000, I don’t care.
‘Show me that I’m shot to bits. When you get right, come see me.’
