Notorious womaniser Ric Flair has sent his words of support to iconic quarter-back Tom Brady following continued chatter regarding his marriage to Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Flair, who claims to have slept with 10,000 women during his lifetime, has called for social media users to 'applaud' the 45-year-old who recently ended his short-lived retirement.

Flair tweeted: "I Would Suggest EVERYONE Get Off @TomBrady’s Ass And Applaud Him!! His Personal Life Is His Business!! NOT YOURS! To Judge, Comment On, Or Laugh About Makes You All Look Bad!!! So Disrespectful @espn! He’s The GOAT!"

Brady has been married to Gisele, 42, since 2006 with the pair initially met after being set up on a blind date by a friend.

They couple have gone on to have a son and a daughter together – with whom they celebrated his seventh Super Bowl triumph and first with Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2020.

Flair has called for speculation that Gisele isn't happy with Brady's return to the sport to end, having been married on five occasions but been open about his frivolity in the bedroom.

Sitting down to chat to ESPN back in 2017, Flair was asked how many women he believed he had slept with across his lifetime and said: "Realistically? 10,000."

Those numbers meant that Flair would've had to have needed a different woman three times a week since turning 16 – and that lasting for 54 years.

In reply to a tweet about a 'Mount Rushmore of sex guys' including himself, Gene Simmons, Wilt Chamberlain and Tommy Lee, Flair replied: "Finally I Get Some Recognition! WOOOOO!"

When asked if he had ever tried monogamy, he added: "I probably took it real serious for about a day. … I mean, I tried, but it just – I was miserable."

Before his return to the sport, Super Bowl icon Brady told Let’s Go! With Jim Gray that he was looking forward to finally spending Christmas with his family.

He said: "I haven’t had a Christmas in 23 years. I haven’t had a Thanksgiving in 23 years.

"I haven't celebrated birthdays with people I care about born from August to late January…and I think there comes a point in life where you say, 'You know what? I’ve had my fill, it’s enough,' and be able to move into other parts of life."
