NBA Playoffs: Raptors down Celtics with buzzer-beater

OG Anunoby drained a miracle three-pointer on the buzzer to give Toronto a one-point win over Boston and keep it alive in the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

The Raptors were down by two with 0.5 seconds on the clock when Kyle Lowry’s impeccable inbounds pass floated from one side of the court to the other and found an unmarked Anunoby on the perimeter.

He got his shot off before the buzzer sounded and drained it to secure an incredible 104-103 win.

A Celtics win would have given them a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series but the Raptors remain in the hunt for a second straight NBA championship after Anunoby’s heroics.

NBA reporter for The Athletic, Jon Krawczynski, wrote: “OH MY GOD!!!!

“What an amazing pass from Lowry. Right in the effing pocket man.”

American sports writer Richard Deitsch was another who felt compelled to refer to a higher power, writing “OH MY GOD” as well while Paolo Uggetti added: “I can’t get over that Lowry pass. OG barely had to move his hands. It him square in the chest, sheesh.”
