Fathers of Karl Anthony Towns and Ja Morant trade friendly trash talk during Game 2

NBA stars Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves are battling on the hardwood, and their fathers, Tee Morant and Karl-Anthony Towns Sr. are making waves on social media off of it.

In Game 1, the two dads were seen exchanging pleasantries towards the end of the contest, where the T-Wolves won 130-117. During Game 2, the duo was back at it again, trading barbs during an interview with Yahoo! senior NBA insider and TNT sideline reporter Chris Haynes.

During the discussion, it was revealed that the two fathers have a wager on the series’ outcome. The losing dad must wear the jersey of the winning son. Minnesota currently leads 1-0, but things could change in this seven-game series. Either way, one father will have to pay up in the coming weeks.

Although Karl-Anthony Sr.’s son holds the 1-0 series advantage, both parents have to be pleased with their sons’ performances so far. Morant scored 32 points along with eight assists, four rebounds and two steals in Game 1. Towns finished with 29 points and 13 rebounds. The Grizzlies are in position to even the series at one game apiece in the fourth quarter.
