Biggest online poker event ever launched with £110m in prizes and famous guests

The biggest online poker event in history will see over $150million (£110m) handed out in prizes this month.

GGPoker, the online poker juggernauts who boast the biggest name ambassadors in the game, have launched their Spring Festival which will run from April 4 through to April 25.

They have even roped in some of their famous friends to take part too.

Legendary DJ deadmau5 will not only play in one of the events – but will also stream an exclusive set for players too.

On Saturday April 3, he will stream music during the event's opening night, which will also see GGPoker hosting a $100k freeroll houseparty, allowing punters to try and win big money without even staking a penny.

Throughout the festival, there will be over 300 events, with buy-ins ranging from low, to medium, to high, making it the perfect event for any bankroll.

Over 39 of the events boast a prize pool of over $1m guaranteed.

Poker legend Daniel Negreanu, who has previously spoken to the Daily Star about his extraordinary life, has given the event its full backing.

“This is going to be the biggest online poker event of all time and will blow a lot of people’s minds,” said Negreanu, who also proudly wears the GGPoker patch on his shirt while he plays.

“From the deadmau5-hosted launch party and other festival elements to the massive headline event guarantees, it’s a true poker party from start to finish, and I can’t wait for it to get underway!”

In a previous interview with the Star, Negreanu has revealed how he gets an edge on his opponents and how he can read what they have during a hand.
